International Media Center (IMC) guidelines

The International Media Center (IMC) will be officially operated for media from 09.00 am, 26/02/2019
The International Media Center (IMC) for the Hanoi Summit will be located at Cultural Friendship Palace, 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.
IMC facilities
  • The International Broadcasting Center (IBC) offers access to the host broadcaster/photographer, satellite transmission services, etc.
  • The Press Common Working Area are equipped with common work desks, computers with networked printers; a5 Mbps Wi-Fi & LAN internet connection; wide-screen LCD screens for live feed monitoring; photocopiers.
  • Studios and stand-up positions are available at various spots inside and outside the IMC and are serviced by power and signal cables. Advance reservation is required for use and a charge will be applied.
  • Media Booths are individual working spaces for media agencies. Each booth can be made of one module or more. A module is 9m² (3m x 3m) and is equipped with one desk; two chairs; a LCD screen, a telephone line; and two 220V 10A circuits, internet connection (bandwidth is provided upon request).   • Media booths should be urgently booked NOW. Due to limited space and to allow time for the necessary technical arrangements, media organizations wishing to rent individual media booths should book space as soon as possible by filling in the Individual Media Booth Order Form
  • The completed forms must be sent to the below contact no later than 20 February 2019. The IMC coordinator will organize booths and make the necessary technical arrangements for media on a "first come, first served" basis.

IMC Services
Host Broadcaster
The host broadcaster of the Hanoi Summit is Vietnam Television (VTV). VTV will provide a live-feed of events from the Summit meeting venues to the IMC, as well as footage, editing, stand-up, studio, editing unit and other technical services upon request. Host Photographer
The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) is the host photographer for the Summit. Please refer to Rate-card for further information.
International Television Transmission
Vietnam Posts & Telecommunications Group (VNPT) will provide high quality international television transmission services and offer a live 24 hour TV transmission overseas by satellites Vinasat1/Vinasat2, and Thaicom, Asiasat, Intelsat, Jsat, etc via earth station systems or using flyaways.
VNPT’s uplink facilities are capable of transmitting several channels onto requested satellites with a simultaneous HD/SD signal.

Internet and Telecommunications
Viettel Group and VNPT Group will provide internet and telecommunication services at the IMC. Please refer to Rate-card for further information.
Food and refreshment services
Complimentary food and refreshment services for accredited media are available in the dining area.
